Our Mission
A playground where people of all abilities can play TOGETHER.
HIP, HIP, let's all play! Everyone has an inherent need to play together, regardless of whether they are disabled or non-disabled, young or old. There is currently no environment that offers fully accessible structures that are both safe and secure for children using special equipment like crutches or wheelchairs, nor one that truly allows children with and without disabilities to play together. It's time to make our community better.
We will transform Middleton Park into a multi-sensory, movement playground where all people can play together, promoting a strong sense of belonging and community engagement. An accessible playground is an asset to the community and to the health and well being of all its members. Our work will continue until every child has high-quality, accessible places to play, grow, and thrive.

HIP Design
The Hudson Inclusive Playground is nationally recognized by PlayCore, an organization dedicated to researching evidence-based design, implementation, and community impact.
Our design supports the holistic needs of every child, while acknowledging that each child is unique. We believe learning is most effective when all aspects of a child's development are integrated and nurtured together.
